Job Description: Seeking certified teacher to staff fifth-sixth classroom. The successful candidate will have an understanding of gifted and arts-based education, multiple intelligences theory, and current best practices. This position requires a high degree of collaboration as well as fieldwork and integrated thematic projects, i.e. in-depth, long-term projects. Required skills and knowledge include:
·Love of children and teaching
·Excellent written and verbal communication skills
·Knowledge of content in subject areas
·Ability and willingness to work with supervision and collaborative teaching team
·Knowledge of multiple intelligences theory
·Ability to design and implement authentic assessment models
·Basic technology skills, including word processing, email, and Web navigation
·Commitment to personal, life-long learning
·Willingness and ability to conduct multiple fieldtrips during the school year, including overnights
Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree
2. Arizona teaching certification or certification qualified
3. Arizona fingerprint clearance
4. Flexible, creative, and collaborative
5. Experience preferred
