Job Description:

Watkinson School, offering inventive teaching and learning since 1881, seeks a full-time Registrar and Student Database Manager.

The Watkinson Registrar and Student Database Manager ensures the integrity, accuracy, and security of all academic records of current and former students. This position oversees student registration and enrollment, builds and maintains the academic schedule for the school, builds secure student data files; maintains up-to-date course schedules and catalogs; manages efficient use of classrooms; and supervises and maintains the online distribution of grades and comments.

Additionally, the Registrar and Student Database Manager audits transfer credits, ensures Watkinson enrollment criteria are met, tracks student progress toward graduation, and produces official transcripts. The Registrar counsels and advises students, faculty, and staff on academic matters, and interprets Watkinson’s academic policies. Additionally, the Registrar is a member of the Academic Policy Committee and Academic Office team.

Other Qualifications:

- Experienced in database management
- Skilled with constructing a master schedule
- Familiarity with Filemaker and Class A is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Dedicated to and timely with all deadlines
- Excellent coordination and collaboration skills and strong attention to detail
