Pre-Conference Youth Forum

At the 4th annual Youth Forum, a day-long session reserved exclusively for students, CES youth join fourth-generation organizer Nick Tilsen to share best practices for organizing for school and community change through skits, games, and other interactive methods. Participants will Live It by sharing experiences and participating in activities and discussions about issues and challenges important to them; Learn It through hands-on training that will increase their awareness of race, culture and the struggle for social justice; and Change It by taking up the issues and bringing back the tools that will inform and increase their engagement in real change efforts.

This youth forum occurs on Thursday, November 6th, concurrent with other pre-conference activities. All Fall Forum student registrants are encouraged to attend; however, space is limited and registration is on a first-paid, first-served basis. Students may register for this special gathering in the online Fall Forum registration form. There is a $50 registration fee for this day-long session (registration is not confirmed until payment has been received). Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Please note, if youth are interested in attending other pre-conference activities (such as school visits and other day-long workshops), they must register and pay the regular pre-conference fees.
